1Can I sign up for monitoring without an analog phone line?
Yes. For customers without a landline, we offer a monitored cellular system that serves as the primary communication method for security monitoring.
2Do I need to register my alarm system with the police department?
Yes, your security system must be registered with your local police department to ensure prompt assistance. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to register the system and maintain any permitting fees required by local authorities.
3If someone cuts my phone lines, will the monitoring center be notified?
Only if you have a backup cellular communication device. Security Vision offers cellular communication devices that transmit alarm signals independently of a traditional phone line.
4I moved into a home with a Security Vision system installed. How can I access it?
For security purposes, Security Vision does not store any master or user codes. Only the previous homeowner retains these codes. If the previous codes are unavailable, Security Vision offers several options:
1. Contact the previous homeowner for the master code if you wish to use the system without monitoring.
2. Engage Security Vision to install and program a new control panel (unmonitored).
3. Discuss monitoring options with Security Vision at (843) 839-4238, which may include installing a new control panel as needed.
5I recently purchased a new construction home with a Security Vision alarm system. How can I get started?

6Are pets a concern for security systems?
No, our pet-friendly motion detectors are designed for pets up to 60 lbs. For larger pets, we recommend glass break detectors, which Security Vision can provide and install.
7What does monitoring cost?

8How soon can I be connected to the monitoring center?

9Is my monitoring service transferable if I move?
Yes, your service can be transferred to your new residence if it is within our service area. Alternatively, it can be transferred to the new owner of your current home.
10I accidentally triggered my alarm, but after entering the code, no one contacted me. Why?
The system allows a brief grace period to disarm the alarm before an alert is sent to the monitoring center, providing you enough time to cancel the alarm and prevent a false alert.
